Couperose

Couperose is caused by fine, visibly dilated vessels on the surface of the skin. These small red veins often lead to persistent redness or discolouration on the cheeks, nose or chin and can spread further over time. The skin may therefore become more sensitive to temperature changes and react more quickly to external influences.

Although couperose is completely harmless, it can be cosmetically bothersome. Many people feel less comfortable because of the visible redness or uneven complexion. The condition usually does not disappear on its own, but it can improve significantly with the right approach.

With couperose, small superficial blood vessels become visible at the surface of the skin. They appear as red lines or as diffuse redness on the face. This can make the skin react more sensitively to heat, cold or other triggers. Although couperose does not require medical treatment, many people choose an aesthetic treatment to make the skin look clearer and more even.
